Meet Our Team

At Dr. Attie Asadi Family Dentistry, we have a variety of highly trained professionals with a combination of different skill-sets.

Dentists

Dr. Attie Asadi (Owner) - B.Sc. (Honours), D.D.S.

Dr. Asadi is a Doctor of Dental Surgery who grew up in Cambridge, Ontario (Galt Collegiate Institute (GCI) alumni). Dr. Asadi completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo and graduated in 2007. She then went on to attend dental school at the Schulich School of Dentistry and Medicine, graduating in 2011. After dental school, Dr. Asadi realized she wanted to return to her hometown to practice dentistry. In 2012, Dr. Asadi took over the practice from Dr. Bill Russel after he retired, and has since built and maintained a strong rapport with her patients and staff.

Dr. Asadi is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the Waterloo-Wellington Dental Society.

When Dr. Asadi isn't in the office, or taking continue education courses, you can find her spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, who she loves talking about during appointments. She is an avid runner (proudly running the Boston Marathon in 2012), cyclist, and snowboarder.

Dr. Melissa Frattolin (Associate) - B.Sc., D.D.S.

Dr. Frattolin is a Doctor of Dental Surgery who graduated from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario with a Bachelors of Science in Biology where she received the Dean of Science and Environmental Studies Gold Medal. Dr. Frattolin completed Dental School with Honours in 2013 at the University of Western Ontario in London. She has been with our office since 2015, but has been practicing dentistry in Cambridge since 2013. She is also an active member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and enjoys taking courses to continue her education in order to further her knowledge and enjoyment of dentistry.

In her spare time, Dr. Frattolin enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in the summer where she loves to hike and cycle. She is also an avid reader, traveler, and musician.

Hygienists

Cheryl (RDH)

Cheryl is one of our full-time Registered Dental Hygienists who is H.A.R.P. certified. Cheryl has been practicing in the field for over 43 years and has been with our office since 2004. Cheryl strives for perfection by building strong rapports with all our patients and enjoys when she looks after families and their generations.

In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, decorating, traveling, and entertaining.

Katie (RDH)

Katie is one of our full-time Registered Dental Hygienists who is H.A.R.P. certified. Katie has been part of office since 2000, and has been practicing in the field for over 24 years. Katie is one of our soft-spoken, tender-loving hygienists who enjoys looking after her regular patients along with meeting new patients for the first time.

In her spare time, Katie is always on the go with getting her children to their after school activities. When she's not rushing around, Katie loves to spend time away with her husband and kids cottaging and skiing.

Barb (RDH)

Barb is one of our part-time Registered Dental Hygienists who is H.A.R.P. certified. Barb as been helping out with our office since 2013, but has been practicing in the field for over 25 years. Barb graduated from Niagara College from the Dental Hygiene Program in 1996, but prior to that she was a Dental Assistant. Barb is our down-to-earth hygienist who never fails to share her upbeat, positive attitude with the office.

In her spare time, Barb enjoys spending time with her family on her small hobby farm and riding her motorcycle alongside her son.

Meghan (RDH)

Meghan is one of our part-time Registered Dental Hygienists who is H.A.R.P. certified. Meghan joined our team in 2018 but has been practicing in the field for over 8 years. Meghan is another one of our soft-spoken team members who is kindhearted, extremely bubbly, and a joy to be around. Her calm demeanor can soothe just about anyone.

In her spare time, Meghan loves spending time with her 4 children, reading, and playing the piano. In her spare time, Meghan also knits and crochets!

Dental Assistants

Lindsey (CDA II + HSO)

Lindsey is our bilingual, fluent in both English and Portuguese, Certified Level II Dental Assistant (CDA II) who is also H.A.R.P. certified. Lindsey attended Medix College and graduated from the Intra-Oral Dental Assistant Program in 2016. Lindsey did her college co-op placement at our office and got hired on full-time to be part of our team shortly after completing school. Since then, Lindsey joined our office in 2017 and has taken on many roles and responsibilities. Along with assisting our dentist's chair-side, Lindsey is the Health and Safety Officer (HSO) for our office and helps out at reception when needed.

On the side, Lindsey is an author who has written two books, Let Me Save You and Walking With Nothing. She also loves reading romance, reading and watching manga/ anime, riding her motorcycle, spending time with her bunnies, and visiting cafe's!

Maddie (CDA II)

Maddie is a Certified Level II Dental Assistant (CDA II) who is also H.A.R.P. certified. Maddie attended Westervelt College and graduated from the Intra-Oral Dental Assistant Program in 2022. Maddie first started out as a patient at our office but has since joined our team at the beginning of 2021. Maddie is a great asset to the team, and we are lucky to have her as an assistant. Maddie is hard working and is always eager to learn all she can about the dental field. You can find Maddie assisting our dentist's chair-side.

In her spare time, Maddie enjoys watching anime, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and boyfriend.

Tracy (CDA II)

Tracy is a Certified Level II Dental Assistant (CDA II) who graduated in 2004, and she is also H.A.R.P. certified. Tracy began working immediately after graduating and has continued working in the field ever since. She's drawn to dentistry because she loves to interact with people and enjoys making patients feel comfortable in a dental environment. Born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario into a Portuguese family, Tracy is fluent in both English and Portuguese.
Tracy recently joined our team in August of 2024. Although Tracy is newer to the team, we are excited to have her as an assistant. You can find Tracy assisting our dentist's chair-side.

In her spare time, Tracy enjoys walking her dog, reading, gardening, crafting/ DYI, and spending time with her family and friends.

Prabhjot (CDA I)

Prabhjot is a Certified Level I Dental Assistant (CDA I) who recently graduated in August 2024 from Anderson College. She is H.A.R.P. certified and currently waiting to take her exam to become a CDA II. Prabhjot did her college co-op placement with us and was hired immediately afterward. Although Prabhjot is newer to the team, we are excited to have her as an assistant. Her calm demeanor and friendly personality is lovely to have in the office. You can find Prabhjot assisting our dentist's chair-side.

Prabhjot is also fluent in three languages: English, Punjabi, and Hindi.

In her spare time, Prabhjot enjoys cooking, dancing, and designing dresses.

Receptionists

Kayla (Receptionist)

Kayla is one of the people you will see up at the front desk upon entering. Kayla joined the office in 2019 where she quickly dived headfirst into her role. Since starting, Kayla constantly shares many new, fresh ideas while taking on multiple responsibilities all around the office.
Prior to joining our office, Kayla worked in an Orthodontics office as a Clinical Assistant and also worked with hearing aids as a Technician.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family, building and improving her PC, playing video games, and rooting for the Toronto Blue Jays during baseball season.

Sandra (Receptionist)

Sandra is our bilingual receptionist who is fluent in both English and Portuguese. Sandra joined our team in 2019 and has brought along her bubbly personality, keeping the office feeling light and united. Previously, Sandra spent 21 consecutive years working for a local bank here in Cambridge where she made many life-long friendships.

In her spare time, Sandra loves to cook, entertain, and spend time with her family and friends. On the weekends, Sandra loves to support local by going to the surrounding Farmer`s Markets with her husband and children.

Amanda (Receptionist + Sterilization Technician)

Amanda is one of the three faces you will see up at the front desk upon arrival. She is also the newest addition to our office, having joined January 2023. Amanda's calm demeanour keeps the atmosphere of the office strong and united during trying times, making her a wonderful addition. Previously, Amanda worked with insurance and also went to school to become a Dental Assistant.

In her spare time, Amanda loves to read, bake, and spend time with her family (especially her daughter) and friends.
